ABOUT ME
Welcome to my private practice!

Who am I?
My name is Amanda Ho. I am a speech-language pathologist registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech- Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).

My career choice in speech-language pathology is inspired by my endeavour to understand the impact of communication challenges on children, adults, and their families. During the completion of my academic and clinical work, I began appreciating seemingly simple aspects of life, such as the capacity to exchange ideas, feelings, and intentions with relative ease.

My Experiences
I initially completed my Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Cognitive Science of Language at McMaster University, where I investigated communication in the form of language acquisition. More specifically, I studied event-related potentials (ERPs) in Mandarin tonal language processing. This research was later published in August 2019. You can read about this work in more detail here!

Following my first masters degree, I completed my Master of Health Science (M.H.Sc.) degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Toronto, where I integrated my knowledge in research with clinical practice. I am passionate about providing evidence-based practice to my clients. Since then, I've worked with children and adults in private and public settings in the areas of speech, language, fluency, cognitive communication, and feeding/swallowing.
